Flowers and Storms

February 28, 2012

You are like a flower yet unbloomed:

beautiful, sweet and scentful, hiding inside yourself

and I am a storm yet to finish brewing.

We are both protected but

I am the eye of the hurricane

looking for common sky and

I’ve met flowers and sunbeams and rivers

some silver clouds

but I can count the number of storms I’ve met on one hand.
